Belle ile en Mer

Nessun altro luogo porta meglio il suo nome dell’isola di Belle-île. Fra spiagge tranquille e scogliere spettacolari, tra porti variopinti e la campagna verdeggiante, l’isola offre un ricco mosaico di paesaggi. Belle-île, la più grande delle isole bretoni, situata 14 kilometri a largo della Pointe de Quiberon. Noi ci siamo andati in traghetto con la macchina, si arriva nell’affascinante porto di Palais. Abbiamo superato le vivaci case colorate nei pressi del molo e le stradine del vecchio centro di Palais, per andare alla scoperta della cittadina di Vauban, a cui si accede attraverso la porta del mastio. Si ammira questa imponente costruzione percorrendo il cammino della ronda, incantati dalla bellezza della vista sul porto.

Dopo aver lasciato i bagagli nella nostra pensione ci siamo diretti a Sauzon. Un porto pittoresco dove è curioso osservare le imbarcazioni in secca per effetto della marea. Ci dirigiamo poi a Pointe des Poulains con il suo faro, un promontorio distante soltanto tre chilometri. Questo luogo romantico venne reso celebre dall’attrice Sarah Bernhardt, che vi restò sino alla fine del XIX secolo.

Quello che colpisce di quest’isola è la pace e tranquillità che permettono di fruire del suo paesaggio selvaggio ed incontaminato. Indimenticabili gli scenari e tramonti da Port Coton e Goulphar, sorprendenti le spiagge di Grands Sables e Bordadoué con le sue rocce dalle forme e disegni grafici stupefacenti. La vista mozzafiato dai 50 metri del faro di Goulphar. Da quell’altezza si possono ammirare le caratteristiche abitazioni che rispettano tutte lo stesso stile e essendo distribuite in piccole borgate si amalgamano bene con il paesaggio. Sempre presenti il vento e le nuvole e sporadicamente qualche acquazzone.

No other place bears its name better than the island of Belle-île. Between quiet beaches and spectacular cliffs, between colorful ports and green countryside, the island offers a rich mosaic of landscapes. Belle-île, the largest of the Breton islands, located 14 kilometers off the Pointe de Quiberon. We went there by ferry with the car, we arrive in the charming port of Palais. We passed the lively colored houses near the quay and the narrow streets of the old center of Palais, to discover the town of Vauban, which is accessed through the door of the keep. You can admire this imposing building by walking along the path of the patrol, enchanted by the beauty of the view over the port.

After leaving our luggage in our guesthouse we headed to Sauzon. A picturesque port where it is curious to observe the boats aground under the effect of the tide. We then head to Pointe des Poulains with its lighthouse, a promontory only three kilometers away. This romantic place was made famous by actress Sarah Bernhardt, who remained there until the end of the 19th century.

What is striking about this island is the peace and tranquility that allow you to enjoy its wild and unspoiled landscape. Unforgettable the scenarios and sunsets from Port Coton and Goulphar, surprising the beaches of Grands Sables and Bordadoué with its rocks with amazing shapes and graphic designs. From that height you can admire the characteristic houses that all respect the same style and being distributed in small villages, they blend well with the landscape. Always present the wind and clouds and sporadically some showers.
