Case a graticcio - Half-timbered houses

Anche in Normandia sono molto diffuse le abbiamo viste a Bayeux, Honfleur, Pont Audemer ma, a Etretat sono rimasto colpito dall’architettura di quello che adesso è diventato l’hotel Salamandre. Costruito similarmente ad una casa a graticcio con i montanti e colonne in legno scolpite con delle figure in basso rilievo. Le testate delle travature hanno delle facce scolpite. E’ stato costruito a Lisieux nel 1989 e venne poi spostato a Etretat nel 1912 dopo essere stato smontato e rimontato.

They are also widespread in Normandy we have seen them in Bayeux, Honfleur, Pont Audemer also in Normandy, but in Etretat I was struck by the architecture of what has now become the Salamandre hotel. Built similarly to a half-timbered house with wooden pillars and columns carved with figures in low relief. The heads of the trusses have sculpted faces. It was built in Lisieux in 1989 and was then moved to Etretat in 1912 after being dismantled and reassembled.
